Success Stories

Fairfield County Professional OrganizingPeace of Home believes that everyone can get organized. They just have to take it “one drawer at a time.”

The process is the same, whether it’s one drawer, a full room, or the entire house. Wondering how we’ve helped our clients? Here are a few Fairfield County Professional Organizing success stories.

We hope they inspire you to get started!

STORY #1: WHERE TO START?

The client initially contacted Peace of Home to tackle her daughter’s disorganized room. During the initial assessment, she was visibly embarrassed by the household’s mess. She verbalized that she missed having family dinners together. They weren’t able to be in the dining room due to the large amounts of clutter. So after hearing the client’s actual needs and wishes, they decided that rather than starting in the daughter’s room, they would first organize the dining room. This provided a significant impact on the entire family, as they saw the possibilities that an organized home offers. In subsequent organizing sessions, they were inspired to move throughout the whole house. As this story goes to show, the initial in-home assessment allows us to discover what is truly important to each client and their family.

STORY #2: A CLOSET FINDS POTENTIAL

The client contacted Peace of Home because her daughter’s closet was a mess. Upon viewing the space during the consultation, we were surprised to see there was no clothing in the closet! There were art supplies, karate equipment, and some miscellaneous items, but where were the clothes? After digging a little deeper, we learned that after doing the laundry, her clothing never made it back to her bedroom. Instead, all the clothes covered the chairs in the master bedroom. This was because no one ever questioned her “system.” Through this process, the client learned that everything needs a home, and in this case, home was her daughter’s closet. Her clothing was sorted, and each category was given a labeled, dedicated space. A year later, it’s still organized. Success!

STORY #3: OVERWHELMED BY CLUTTER

Many people that work from home and are living in the same space often feel overwhelmed and find it difficult to focus. Peace of Home worked with a client who was struggling to maintain order in his home. With patient guidance, we created a connection between the items he owns and the labeled spaces where they should “live.” As with all clients, we provided him with helpful maintenance tips, including a month-long calendar that has one simple organizing task per day that is tailored to his space. He can easily maintain his home so that he can find what he needs and feel productive while working!
